A delegation of Members, led by the President of Tynwald, are pleased to have the opportunity to undertake a study visit hosted by the Houses of the Oireachtas in Dublin this week. With the two parliaments sharing goals and interests, the primary objectives of the visit are to learn more about Committee work, gain a broader understanding of current issues of mutual concern and for newer Members to become acquainted with the work, history and functioning of the Houses of the Oireachtas. 

The delegates will be meeting with Committees Secretariat Coordination Unit looking at the Committee overview, structure of Oireachtas Committees and reporting. They will also be meeting with the Committees themselves in areas of common interest including: the Committee on Transport and Communications; the Joint Committee on Tourism, Culture, Arts, Sport and Media, and the Joint Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Employment.

They will be supported in Dublin by the Deputy Clerk of Tynwald and the Table, Hansard and Publications Manager from the Office of the Clerk of Tynwald. All related costs will be published on the Tynwald website in due course.
