Whistleblowing Committee further call for evidence

28/06/2019

The Select Committee of Tynwald on Whistleblowing would like to hear from anyone with experience of, or views relating to, the effectiveness and efficiency of the process of whistleblowing in the Isle of Man.

The Chairman of the Committee, Ms Julie Edge MHK, explained, "The Committee has been reviewing the effectiveness of the Government’s whistleblowing policy and, while we are not able to become involved in any way with specific cases, we have found it exceptionally helpful to hear privately from individuals about their experience of raising concerns. We have been examining whether people raising issues, and those involved with investigations, have found the current process effective. We are also trying to understand what discourages people from raising issues.”

Submissions will only be published if express permission is given and so contact details must be included.

Submissions should be sent to the Clerk of the Committee by Tuesday 23rd July.
