Three Members of Tynwald travel to Canada on Thursday 18th August 2022 to attend the 65th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference being held in Nova Scotia from 20th to 26th August 2022.

The Conference is the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association's (CPA) flagship event and is being hosted by the CPA Canadian Region at the Halifax Convention Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The event will bring together over 600 parliamentarians, parliamentary staff and decision makers from across the Commonwealth for a unique conference and networking opportunity. 

The last Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference took place in Uganda in September 2019.

The Tynwald Members attending the 65th Conference are: 

•Mr Rob Callister MHK

•Mr Peter Greenhill MLC

•The Hon. Juan Watterson SHK

Speaker of the House of Keys, The Hon. Juan Watterson SHK, is attending the Conference in his capacity as Regional Representative (British Islands and Mediterranean Region) on the Steering Committee of the CPA Small Branches Network.

The Tynwald Members will be accompanied by Deputy Clerk of Tynwald Joann Corkish.
