Public Accounts Committee to take evidence for COVID Genomics inquiry
30/04/2021The Public Accounts Committee, a standing Committee of Tynwald, will be taking oral evidence in public on Wednesday 12th May 2021 from:
• 2.30pm: Kathryn Magson, CEO, Department of Health and Social Care
• 3.30pm: Hon. David Ashford MHK, Minister for Health and Social Care
This session is being held as part of the Committee’s inquiry into the use of genomic sequencing in response to a pandemic in the Isle of Man.
The evidence will be taken in public in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas. Members of the public are welcome to attend. The proceedings can be heard via the ‘live and listen again’ audio webcast service on the Tynwald website here: http://www.tynwald.org.im/business/listen/Pages/default.aspx and a Hansard transcription will be published in due course.
The members of the Public Accounts Committee are Hon. Juan Watterson SHK (Chair), Mr Lawrie Hooper MHK (Vice-Chair), Mrs Jane Poole Wilson MLC, Mrs Clare Barber MHK, Ms Julie Edge MHK and Mr Chris Robertshaw MHK. Mrs Barber, as a political Member for the Department of Health and Social Care, has recused herself from the genomics inquiry.
