In April 2018 a Select Committee of Tynwald was established to examine issues relating to poverty. 

The Committee will hear oral evidence in relation to poverty definitions and data on Wednesday 17th April 2019 from the following witnesses:

10.30am Hon. Chris Thomas MHK, Minister for Policy and Reform, and Adam Smith, Head of Economic Affairs Division, Cabinet Office.

The evidence will be taken in public in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas. Members of the public are welcome to attend or to listen via the audio webcast service on the Tynwald website.

The Members elected to the Committee are Hon. Juan Watterson SHK (Chair), Miss Tanya August-Hanson MLC and Mr Jason Moorhouse MHK.
