At the March 2022 sitting, Tynwald recognised the demographic challenges facing the Island, and the long-term implications of population imbalance. A Select Committee on Population Rebalancing was established to:

- Clarify the demographic challenges

- Investigate the underlying causes

- Assess policies, programmes and measures that could be put in place by Government, and to come up with workable solutions

The Committee is equally interested in hearing from those who have consciously decided not to have children, either in the Isle of Man, or at all.

Submissions to a short questionnaire can be made online here by Monday 5th September 2022.

The Members elected to the Committee are Dr Michelle Haywood MHK (Chair), Mr Paul Craine MLC, and the Hon Chris Thomas MHK.
