The Select Committee of Tynwald on Planning and Building Control (Petition for Redress) intends to hear oral evidence in public from four officers connected with planning at 3.30pm on Wednesday 23rd March 2016.

The officers will be:

• Mr Michael Gallagher, Director of Planning
• Mrs Diane Brown, Head of Planning Policy
• Mr Steve Stanley, Regeneration Manager
• Mr Kevin Gillespie, Ministerial Planning Advisor

The evidence will be taken in public in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road Douglas. Members of the public are welcome to attend or to listen via the audio webcast service on the Tynwald website.

The Committee was established by Tynwald on Tuesday 17th November 2015 with a remit to consider and to report to Tynwald on the Petition for Redress of Philip Donald and Kirree Ann Jenkins, presented at St John's on 7th July 2014, in relation to the ambiguity and weaknesses in the practices and laws relating to planning, building control and connected matters. The members elected to the Committee by Tynwald are Mr Chris Thomas MHK, Hon Steve Rodan SHK and Mr Jon Joughin MHK. The Committee has elected Mr Thomas as its chair.
