We are looking for one young person to represent the Isle of Man at the November 2025 UK Youth Parliament.

Applications are open for people aged 11 – 18 years old to represent the Isle of Man at the next UK Youth Parliament which will be held in the House of Commons on 6^th November 2025. The successful applicant will attend the UK Youth Parliament sitting in Westminster and deliver a short address from the famous Despatch Box on the floor of the House of Commons Chamber alongside other representatives from the Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories.

The topic for the two-minute speech will be determined by the ‘Make Your Mark’ ballot, an initiative driven by The House of Commons Speaker’s Office. Island students aged 11 to 18 will each have the opportunity to vote on the issues that matter the most to them. Following the success of involving the Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories in the February sitting of the UK Youth Parliament, the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle has once again extended the invitation to these regions.

Speaker of the House of Keys, the Hon. Juan Watterson SHK, said he was delighted that the Speaker of the House of Commons had once again extended an invitation to the Isle of Man, describing it as a unique and exciting opportunity for a young Islander to represent the voices of their peers in Westminster. He said the initiative not only allows young people to share their perspectives alongside representatives from across the United Kingdom and the Overseas Territories, but also helps them build confidence, develop leadership skills, and inspire others back home to get involved and make their voices heard.

The Office of the Clerk of Tynwald will fund travel and accommodation costs for the successful applicant and their parent or guardian.

• Applications are open to those aged 11 to 18 reflecting the ages of the current members of the UK Youth Parliament.

• Applicants and a parent or guardian must be able to travel to the UK between Wednesday 5^th November – Friday 7^th November 2025.
