The Speaker of the House of Keys and Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, the Hon Juan Watterson SHK; its clerk, Ms Joann Corkish, Deputy Clerk of Tynwald; and the Tynwald Auditor General, Mr Stephen Warren attended the Public Accounts Committee Network meeting hosted by the States Assembly of Jersey on 7^th November. Political Members, Auditors-General and Officers from the House of Commons, Northern Ireland, Jersey and Wales attended in person with representatives from Anguilla, Gibraltar, the House of Commons, Malta, Scotland and St. Helena joining online.

The programme included presentations and discussions on effectively tracking parliamentary recommendations and the impact of 20 years of the Jersey Audit Office and breakout groups where experience of scrutinising capital expenditure, health expenditure and government annual reporting were shared. The event was an annual opportunity to gather and discuss a wide variety of issues concerning public accounts committees, auditors-general and scrutiny of public finances. The event concluded with a tour of the States Assembly where delegates met the newly appointed Bailiff of Jersey and President of the States, Mr Robert MacRae KC.
