The Economic Policy Review Committee, a Standing Committee of Tynwald Court, is inquiring into the Government’s Economic Strategy. The Committee is interested in answering the following questions:

• Are the aspirations of the Economic Strategy the right ones in terms of job creation, infrastructure and services, public finances, and sustainability?
• Is every Government decision aligned with the Economic Strategy, or have some decisions been made which could have adverse effects?
• Is the 2024 Budget good for business?
• Is the 2024 Tax Strategy good for business?
• Does the 2024 Budget make the Island an attractive place for working individuals and families?

Illustrative examples of the effect of the Budget, which may be relevant to the fifth question above, have been supplied by the Treasury to the Committee and are published here.

Views are welcome from individual members of the public, businesses, bodies, or groups.
