Tynwald resolved on 22nd February 2012 –

That Tynwald appoints a Committee of three Members with powers to take written and oral evidence pursuant to sections 3 and 4 of the Tynwald Proceedings Act 1876, as amended, to investigate the Kirk Michael School Land Exchange Agreement between Heritage Homes, Pinecrest Investments Ltd and the Department of Education and Children; whether by January 2011 access to the land had been secured, as was stated at that time by the Hon. Member for Ayre; the manner in which the negotiations were conducted; and the value for money achieved; and to report with recommendations by May 2012.

The Members appointed to the Committee by Tynwald were the Hon Stephen C Rodan SHK (Speaker of the House of Keys), Mrs Brenda Cannell MHK, and Mr Juan Turner MLC. The Committee has elected Mr Speaker as its chair.

The Committee has decided to give members of the public the opportunity to submit comments and opinions on the subject matter of the investigation. Such submissions should be sent to the Clerk of the Committee by Friday 23rd March 2012.

It will be assumed that respondents are content for their response to be published unless otherwise indicated.
