Built Heritage: Committee to hear evidence

On Monday 24th October 2022, the Select Committee of Tynwald on Built Heritage will take oral evidence as part of its inquiry into the options available for better protecting and enhancing the Island’s historic built environment. 

The following witnesses will appear at the times listed below: 

10.30am:     Hugh Davidson, Director, Rushen Heritage Trust, and Susan Temple, Secretary, Castletown Heritage Trust

11.15am:     Charles Guard MBE, Chair of the Milntown Trust and the Isle of Man Victorian Society; James Maddrell, Isle of Man Steam Railway Supporters’ Association; Dave Martin, President, Isle of Man Natural History and Antiquarian Society

12.15pm:     The Rt Rev Peter Eagles, The Lord Bishop of Sodor and Man, and The Venerable Irene Cowell, Archdeacon of Man

The evidence will be heard in public in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas; members of the public are welcome to attend.  The evidence can also be heard via the “live and listen again” audio webcast service on the Tynwald website.

The Members elected to the Committee are Jason Moorhouse MHK, Bill Henderson MLC, and Marlene Maska MLC.  The Committee has elected Mrs Maska as its Chair.
