Born: London
Education: Secondary education at Latymer Upper School. 1984 Exhibition to King's College Cambridge to study Medicine. 1987 Clinical training at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel. Graduated with MB BChir. Awarded MA 1991. Awarded Diploma Geriatric Medicine, Diploma Child Health, Diploma Royal College Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and became member Royal College General Practitioners.
Family: Gerri and I have two children.
Career: After leaving medical school specialised in paediatrics with a twelve month specialist rotation at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. Returned to the UK and worked as community Paediatrician in Hackney before deciding to go into general practice. Completed GP training at the James Wigg Health Centre, Camden and then spent over two years as a rural GP in Geraldton, Western Australia with the local Aboriginal Medical service. Returned to London and worked as a GP locum until 2002 when invited to join the Ramsey Group Practice as a GP Partner.
Public Service: Executive member of Medical Practitioners' Union. Elected to General Practitioner Committee. Previous President of Isle of Man Medical Society, Chair of the GP Subcommittee, BMA Secretary. Ramsey Town Commissioner 2008-2016.
Interests: Modern music and art, interesting food and film. Politics and involvement in the life of the Isle of Man. Coastal rowing. Manx culture.
