The House of Keys was dissolved on Thursday 13th August 2026. Polling Day in the General Election is Thursday 24th September 2026. Further information about the General Election can be found on the Isle of Man Government website at: https://elections.gov.im/

After the General Election the following events are anticipated.

Tuesday 29th September 11.30am – Members of the House of Keys to be sworn in by the First and Second Deemsters

Tuesday 29th September 2.30pm – sitting of the House of Keys to elect a Speaker and a Deputy Speaker

Tuesday 6th October – policy proposals of Chief Minister candidates to be published

Tuesday 13th October, 10am – sitting of the House of Keys to nominate a Chief Minister. Each candidate for Chief Minister will be expected to make speeches and answer questions.

After a Chief Minister has been nominated by the House of Keys and appointed by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, other Members will be appointed as Ministers, Members of Departments, and Chairs and Members of Statutory Boards.

Tuesday 20th October, 10am – sitting of Tynwald Court

Tuesday 17th November, 10am – sitting of Tynwald Court at which Members will be elected to parliamentary committees
