The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee a Standing Committee of Tynwald will be taking oral evidence on Monday 13th July 2020 at 4pm in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas.
Evidence will be heard from Department of Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford MHK, Interim Chief Executive Officer Kathryn Magson, Chief Operating Officer Angela Murray and Acting Head of the Mental Health Service Ross Bailey. The hearing will focus the resumption of health services following the Covid-19 pandemic; and on mental health services.
The Committee produced a report on mental health services in 2018, which can be viewed here; and a report on suicide in 2019, which can be viewed here. Acute mental health services at Manannan Court were independently reviewed in 2019 at the request of the DHSC by Dr Tommy Dickinson, whose report can be viewed here.
