The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee, a Standing Committee of Tynwald, will be taking oral evidence on Wednesday 11th May 2016 from the persons listed below at the times stated.

2:30 pm Marcia Brabbs (Safe, Strong, Secure) and

3:00 pm Celia Marshall (Chairman, ME Support Isle of Man)

The session will be held in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas. The evidence will be taken in public. Members of the public are welcome to attend, and the proceedings will also be streamed live via the Tynwald website.

It was resolved on Tuesday 15th March 2016:

That Tynwald is of the opinion that the operation of the personal capability assessments should be referred to the Social Affairs Committee for examination and report by June 2016.

The Committee issued a call for evidence on 17th March 2016. Ms Brabbs and Ms Marshall are among the people who responded.

The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee, comprising Mr David Cretney MLC (Chair), the Hon Steve Rodan SHK and Mr Geoffrey Boot MHK, is one of three Standing Committees of Tynwald Court established in October 2011 with a wide scrutiny remit.
