Letterboxing in the Isle of Man
Letterboxing is a “treasure hunt” style outdoor activity. Letterboxers hide small, weatherproof boxes in publicly-accessible places (like parks) around the world.
Individual letterboxes usually contain a log book, an often hand-carved rubber stamp and occasionally contain an ink pad. Finders make an imprint of the letterbox’s stamp on their personal log book, and leave an imprint of their personal stamp on the letterbox’s logbook.
Over the years the Scout Association – Isle of Man has set up over seventy Letterboxes around the Isle of Man.
Mike Southall has compiled a 3rd edition of his book "Letterboxing in the Isle of Man" where you will find details of every Letterbox hidden on the Island. There is room to include the stamp in the book for your records.
