Born: 1966, Mirfield, West Yorkshire 

Education: Educated at Castle Rushen High School, subsequently graduated from Cambridge University (Emmanuel College) with a Master's degree in Economics. Qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 1990.

Family: Married to Viv for over 25 years; 2 daughters, Voirrey and Kerenza

Career: Trained as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen in Manchester. Subsequently spent 25 years in financial and management leadership roles across various sectors in the North of England, principally as Finance Director - including Glyn-Webb Wallpapers, RAC AutoWindscreens, Homeserve Claims Management and Kitbag.com. Returned to the Isle of Man in 2009 to take up the role of Group Finance Director at DLP Limited.

Community: Founder and Chairman of Ramsey Table Tennis Club; Match Secretary of Isle of Man Table Tennis Association; Chairman of SureStrike TenPin Bowling; member of Elim Pentecostal Church, Ramsey.

Interests and activities: Sport in general, particularly table tennis (playing, coaching and management) and cycling (have cycled UK Coast-to-Coast and completed the End-to-End Mountain Bike Challenge). Have completed the Parish Walk and the London Marathon and have recently finished walking the Raad ny Foillan coastal footpath.
