Domestic Abuse Bill 2019: experts to appear before the Legislative Council

​As part of its consideration of the Domestic Abuse Bill 2019, the Legislative Council will hear oral evidence on Tuesday 11th February 2020 as a Committee of the Whole Council.

The following witnesses will appear at the times stated, the first three via videolink:

10.30 Rachel Horman, Head of the Domestic Abuse, Stalking and Forced Marriage Department at Watson Ramsbottom Ltd, a Lancashire-based law firm

11.15 Dr Eileen Vizard CBE, a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist employed by Whittington Health, and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at University College London

11.45 Mark Brooks, domestic abuse campaigner and chair of the ManKind Initiative

12.15 Jane Gray, Manx advocate

The Domestic Abuse Bill 2019 it was passed by the House of Keys on 17th December 2019 and was given a Second Reading by the Legislative Council on 4th February 2020.
