Planning enforcement: Committee to hear evidence

​The Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee, a Standing Committee of Tynwald, is conducting an inquiry into the operation of the planning system, with particular reference to planning enforcement. 

The Committee will hear evidence in public on this topic on Friday 10th May 2019.  The witnesses will appear at the times stated below:

10am Hon Geoffrey Boot MHK, Minister for the Department of Environment, Food, and Agriculture; Mr Richard Lole, Chief Executive Officer of the Department; and Miss Jennifer Chance, Director of Planning and Building Control

11am Mr Lawrie Hooper MHK, Dr Alex Allinson MHK, and Mrs Daphne Caine MHK

12 noon Councillor Ritchie McNicholl, Chairman of Douglas Borough Council’s Environmental Services Committee; Mrs Dana Eynon, Director of Environmental Services; and Mr Stephen Salter, Dilapidation Enforcement Officer

The evidence will be taken in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas. Members of the public are welcome to attend or to listen via the audio webcast service on the Tynwald website.

The Committee was established by Tynwald in October 2016. The Members elected to the Committee are Mr Rob Callister MHK (Chair), Miss Clare Bettison MHK, and Mr Chris Robertshaw MHK.
