Autism Initiatives; Dept Health and Social Care and St Christopher's to give evidence

 

On 20th of November 2018 Tynwald appointed a Select Committee to investigate the provision of accommodation for vulnerable young people, with special reference to those leaving care and people with autism. The Committee is to hear oral evidence on 7th and 11th March 2019 in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road Douglas.

The Committee will hear from the following at the times stated.

7th March 2019

10.30am Mr Andrew Grainger, Chief Executive of Autism Initiatives.

11th March 2019

10.30am Hon Mr David Ashford MHK, Minister for Health and Social Care, Debbie Brayshaw, Director of Children and Families, and Deborah Reeve, Director of Estates and Public Housing.  

11.30am Representatives of St Christopher’s Isle of Man: Anne Seed, Head of Operations, Richard Gilmour, Manager of the Aftercare Team, and Trevor Rudge, Personal Advisor.

The members of the Committee appointed by Tynwald are Mr Tim Baker MHK (Chairman), Mr Rob Callister MHK and Mrs Kerry Sharpe.

The evidence will be taken in public; members of the public are welcome to attend. The evidence can also be heard via the “live and listen again” audio webcast service on the Tynwald website.
