Whistleblowing Committee call for evidence

The Select Committee of Tynwald on Whistleblowing would like to hear from anyone with experience of, or views relating to, the effectiveness and efficiency of the process of whistleblowing in the Isle of Man.

The Chairman of the Committee, Ms Julie Edge MHK, commented, "The Committee has been tasked with reviewing the effectiveness of the Government’s whistleblowing policy and to consider this fully we plan to compare and contrast with other public and private sector policies.”

She added “We are not able to become involved in any way with specific cases but we do want to understand how the processes are working for the people involved; those raising issues and those involved with investigations. We are also interested in hearing from people who may have considered, but not proceeded with, raising an issue."

Submissions will only be published if express permission is given and so contact details must be included.

Submissions should be sent to the Clerk of the Committee by Wednesday 20th June.
